The wine has a pale ruby color. On the nose, it is closed and benefits from aeration. It then expresses delicate spicy and toasted aromas (liquorice, toasted hazelnut, nutmeg, toasted wood in the background), combined with fresh and juicy, but discreet fruit (raspberry, red cherry, crunchy strawberry, red currant), as well as sweet hints of wild mint, vanilla and peony. The palate is savory, more open than the nose. The attack is juicy and fruity – it expresses notes of morello cherry, crushed raspberry, ripe red cherry, wild strawberry, as well as a slight hint of chocolate morello cherry that brings a gourmand touch. There are also spicy and toasted notes of licorice, nutmeg, coffee, toasted hazelnut and smoke. Tannins are polished and quite solid, without being dry. Good length, with mouth-watering acidity and tangy flavors of red cherry and red currant.
