The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration and depth. It expresses notes of juicy morello cherry, wild blackberry, roasted bigarreau cherry, strawberry, blueberry jam and raspberry coulis, combined with notes of sweet spices (licorice, nutmeg, white pepper, a hint vanilla), menthol, lilac, cornflower and a fine touch of torrefaction (toast, ground coffee) in the background. On the palate, the wine offers lots of fruit, juiciness and great concentration, all in finesse. It expresses notes of roasted bigarreau cherry, morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry coulis, tangy blackcurrant, red currants, as well as delicate floral (lilac), spicy (white pepper, cumin, clove) and toasty notes(toasted almond, toasted bread in the background). The finish is long and complex, with tangy notes of red cherry, combined with a smoky and herbaceous touch (oregano). The acidity is lively and fresh, the tannins are well structured: fine, but quite powerful. Good aging potential.
