Domaine Gaillard 2018 – Pouilly-Fuissé

The nose is fruity, finely on the hold and offers a fine freshness as well as a very fine concentration. It reveals notes of quince, crushed white fruits (nectarine, apple), small notes of zests associated with small touches of racy minerality as well as fine hints of mandarine flowers, lilac and an imperceptible hint of spices (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/finely acidulous frame, freshness, juiciness, gourmandize, tension as well as precision and a certain tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh lemon, juicy/fresh apple, small notes of pear associated with fine touches of juicy quince, a racy minerality as well as subtle hints of lemon flowers, lilac, a discreet hint of zests and flint. Good length.
