The wine shows a ruby colour with a garnet tinge. The nose is slightly restrained, need aeration, later opening up with notes of pungent spices, a touch of balsamic, hints of black cherry compote and nuances of dried tomatoes. The palate is powerful and warming, revealing drying, bold tannins that stick to the gums, moderate fruit intensity and elevated acidity. The wine offers notes of black cherries and bramble, a touch of black pepper, a discreet green note in the echo adding to the freshness. Very dry finish.
