Domaine Filliatreau 2021 – Saumur – Champigny

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration, juicy fruit and a fine tanginess. It expresses notes of ripe red cherry, fresh raspberry, strawberry, red currant and cranberries, combined with notes of blueberry, blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaf, rose, violet and lilac, as well as with a touch of limestone in the background. The mouth is silky, melted, enveloping and fresh. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, red cherry jam, fresh raspberry, blackcurrant and blueberry, combinedwith notes of mint syrup, blackcurrant leaf, and a very delicate touch of chocolate in the background (chocolate cherry) and a refined floral bouquet (violet, rose, lilac). The finish is juicy, gourmand and fruity, with expressive notes of ripe cherry and lively acidity. The tannins are soft and melted. A gourmand and pleasant wine, with lots of fruit. Good sapid persistence.
