Domaine Faiveley 2018 – Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru

The nose is elegant, finely on the hold. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of blackberry, blackberry leaf, small notes of cassis, small plum associated with touches of violet, sense of the place as well as fine hints of zan, black tea, nutmeg, very discreet hints of pepper, chocolate, toasted oak and an imperceptible hint of laurel. The palate is fresh, elegant, beautifully delicate, finely on the hold and offers power/richness (justly control), precision, gourmandize as well as a beautiful finesse of the guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy violet plum, cassis, small notes of blackberry, blackberry leaf associated with touches of violet, lilac, sense of the place, raspberry as well as hints of tobacco leaf, clove, almond, very discreet hints of sweet spices and an imperceptible hint of laurel. Tannins are elegant, delicate and structuring. Good length. Discreet hints of tonka bean on the persistence.
