The wine has a bright pale ruby color. The nose is subtle, elegant and airy: it first expresses a delicate smokiness, notes oftoast and roasted cherry, combined with a fresh hint of crushed mint. We then find the aromas of tangy red fruits (red cherry, cranberries, red currants, raspberry, fresh strawberry), a fine spiciness (nutmeg, liquorice, white pepper), herbaceous (dried blackcurrant leaf, dried mint) and floral (violet, dried rose), as well as a very delicate hint of dark chocolate. The palate offers sapidity, juiciness and the tangy side of red fruits. We find the flavors of red cherry, raspberry, fresh strawberry, cranberries and blackcurrant, as well as a hint of roasting with a good bitterness (coffee, cocoa), spicy notes (white pepper, nutmeg, cumin, liquorice), as well as flowers and herbs that appear especially on the persistence (dried rose, violet, peppermint, dried blackcurrant leaf). The tannins are fine-grained, velvety and well-constructed. The finish is persistent, juicy and gourmet. Beautiful acidity, freshness and balance.
