The wine has a bright pale ruby color, with raspberry highlights. On the nose, the wine is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses aromas of fresh raspberry, strawberry, red currant, fresh blueberry and red cherry, combined with refreshing herbal notes (peppermint, a hint of fresh tobacco and rose leaf in the background), with a delicate spiciness (nutmeg, liquorice, a very subtle hint of vanilla in the background). After aeration, we also sense a touch of fresh rosemary, mint chocolate and cocoa, combined with aromas of fresh almond and toasted hazelnut. The palate is lively, straight and tangy, and offers accuracy and precision. It expresses notes of sour red cherry, strawberry, cranberries, raspberry and red plum, combined with herbaceous (peppermint, fresh tobacco, rosemary in the background), floral (violet) and spicy (licorice, nutmeg) flavours. The tannins are tight, but have a fine texture. Good bitterness of cocoa and coffee on the persistence, accompanied by a salivating acidity. The finish is juicy and quite persistent.
