The nose is spicy and offers some power. The wine benefices from being decanted. It reveals notes of fresh cloves, nutmeg, and more slightly – notes of crushed strawberry associated with fine touches of blueberry as well as a subtle hint of fresh pepper and lily. A nice fresh, juicy, nicely tangy mouth that offers gourmandize, tension, accuracy, and brightness as well as a tangy/juicy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/bright cherry, juicy/bright raspberry and more slightly – hints of bright plum associated with touches of racy minerality (almost iodized) as well as a subtle hint of fresh flowers, toasted almond and discreet hints of clove on the finish. The tannins are supple and sapid. Good length. Nice gourmandize on the palate.
