The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose offers a beautiful concentration of fruit and juiciness. It expresses notes of fresh and roasted black and red fruits (blackberry, blue plum, blackcurrant, blueberry, Morello cherry, sour cherry, red currant) with a fine touch of dried mint, rosemary and eucalyptus. There is also a sweet note of blackberry jam in the background. On the palate, the wine offers a lot of juiciness and concentration. It expresses flavours of tangy black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, Morello cherry), fresh red fruits (red cherry, fresh strawberry, red currant), as well as a powdery side of herbs and dried flowers (dried mint, dried blueberry, dried rose petals). The acidity is very lively and salivating, counterbalancing the raspy, drying tannins. The finish is persistent, with lively acidity and slightly peppery, smoky notes.
