The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic and fruity. It expresses notes of smoked meat at the beginning, which are complemented by notes of ripe red and tart black fruits (fresh blackcurrant, blueberry, Morello cherry, crushed strawberry), dried mint, peony and lilac, with a very light touch of cocoa in the background. On the palate, the wine offers juiciness and a firm structure, with gripping tannins and positive bitterness. It expresses notes of fresh strawberry, dried raspberry, tart red cherry, blueberry, dried blackcurrant, as well as light smoky notes and a touch of bitter almond in the background. The midpalate has roundness, juiciness and a fine balsamic note. Good persistence and lively acidity.
