Domaine du Clos des Poulettes Côte de Nuits-Villages « Vierville » 2022 – Côte de Nuits-Villages

The wine has a bright pale ruby color. The nose is precise and tense and expresses the tangy but gourmet notes of black fruits at the opening (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry). Then, we find the aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and crushed raspberry, associated with toasted notes (toasted wood, toasted hazelnut), smoky and spicy (nutmeg, white pepper). The palate is straight, chiseled, with a good bitterness at the start. It then expresses the flavors of morello cherry, red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry and a hint of wild small cherry. Then, we find the notes of toasted hazelnut, smoke, nutmeg, white pepper and a hint of liquorice. Tannins are solid, grippy, but with a fine texture, balanced by a salivating acidity. The finish is persistent, with a good bitterness and a slight cocoa-like touch.
