The wine has a beautiful, clear, bright cherry color. The initial nose is intense with notes of fruits such as blackberry and juicy black cherry. There are also subtle hints of wood, smoke, and vanilla. There is a lovely minty freshness. The second nose opens with finer notes, still with good intensity. There are fresh and stewed morello cherry, blueberry, juicy blue plum, and blackberry. There are still empyreumatic notes and a hint of fresh pepper. The palate is fresh and fruity with good acidity on the attack. There are notes of fresh, crisp fruits such as strawberry, morello cherry, and purple plum. The tannins are present, gripping until the finish. There is good mineral acidity with fine floral hints of rose and scented geranium. The acidity is mouth-watering, almost saline in the finish. The finish is on cranberries and juicy morello cherries with a hint of vanilla.
