The wine shows a medium ruby colour with a slight garnet tinge. The nose is slightly smoky and meaty, revealing nuances of ripe black cherries, a touch of forest raspberries and pomegranate. The palate shows nice freshness but a certain rusticity with grippy, astringent tannins and an overall animalistic profile of flavours. Moderate finish with a lingering cassis note. Finishes very dry.
