Domaine du Cerf Rosé 2023 – Côtes de Gascogne IGP

(Merlot & Marselan) The wine has a pale salmon pink color, with orange reflexions. The nose is fragrant and offers freshness and a tangy citrus aroma. It expresses notes of pink grapefruit, blood orange zest, cranberries, fresh strawberry, raspberry and red currant, combined with light floral notes (rose petals, peony in the background) and a delicate salinity. On the palate, the wine offers gourmandise, roundness and a certain liveliness. It expresses notes of small red berries (raspberry, cranberries, strawberry, red cherry), the tanginess of citrus fruits (grapefruit, blood orange), as well as a slight bitterness on the finish, associated with a touch of peony and cut grass. The finish is moderately persistent, but gourmand and refreshing, with a nice acidity.
