Domaine du Bouscat – Cuvée la Gargone 2020 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is fruity, elegant, intense and offers a lovely aromatic palette, precision as well as deepness. We find notes of morello cherry, violet and small notes of bright cassis associated with touches of small juicy roasted red fruits as well as delicate hints of lilac, sweet spices and a subtle hint of blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers precision, a mineral/acidulous frame, a good definition, precision, tension, a great energy as well as deepness. Nicely on the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, bright morello cherry and small notes of violet associated with touches of bright redcurrants as well as hints of cornflower, nutmeg, a subtle hint of star anise and a very discreet, almost sappy hint (in the background). Tannins are sapid and elegant. Good length. Beautiful freshness and energy.
