Domaine du Bouscat – Cuvée Caduce 2019 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is aromatic, fresh, racy, spicy and offers intensity and breadth. There are notes of spice, herbs and, more slightly, bright boysenberry, combined with hints of morello cherry, fresh violet/lys, as well as fine hints of liquorice stick, saffron (in its flowery side), cardamom, a touch of nutmeg and toasted almond. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity and offers a nice definition, a certain gourmandise, juiciness as well as tension. A wine that is carried by the freshness and brightness of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crisp raspberry and more slightly violet plum combined with hints of morello cherry, violet/lys as well as hints of toastiness, toasted hazelnut, cardamom, a subtle hint of spice and an imperceptible hint of almost clove.
