Domaine du Berdet 2002 – Bas-Armagnac

(42%, Bottled : 01/2024) The nose is gourmand and aromatic. There are notes of cooked apple, marmalade and small notes of rancio associated with fine touches of fresh peach as well as fine hints of tobacco box and spices. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a certain power, a good definition, fruit as well as a linear/tight side. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of marmalade, tarte Tatin and small notes of baked apple associated with touches of crushed kumquat, fleshy yellow peach as well as fine hints of almond, toasted, rancio/ cedar, caramelization/chocolate and a discreet hint of Bourbon vanilla. Good length. Round, mellow and gourmand.
