Domaine du Beauregard – Les Clos Roussots 2020 – Maranges 1er Cru

The nose has some power, some concentration and a fine, airy grain. It is discreetly tight with notes of pulpy black cherries, boysenberries and more slightly fresh plums combined with hints of almost roasted fruit and hints of liquorice sticks and sweet spices. The palate is fruity with freshness and tension. There is concentration and a racy, taut, discreetly tight grain. There are notes of juicy, pulpy blackberry, crunchy cherry and more slightly of fresh pulpy red berry, crushed blueberry combined with hints of racy minerality as well as hints of fresh almond. There is a subtle almost chocolatey vanilla note.
