The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose is fragrant and delicately spicy. It expresses notes of nutmeg, liquorice, ground cloves, a slight touch of vanilla, combined with a floral bouquet (iris, violet) and herbaceous hint (blackcurrant leaf). On the second nose, we find fruity notes (blueberry, blackcurrant, morello cherry, red cherry, blue plum), as well as a hint of toasted hazelnut in the background. The palate is chiseled and tangy, with a tight, slightly drying tannin structure, especially on the finish. We find the flavors of tangy fruits (bigarreau cherry, cranberries, red currant, raspberry), sweet spices (liquorice, ground cumin, cloves), a herbaceous and floral touch (blackcurrant leaf, violet), as well as a good bitterness. The finish is medium persistent, tight, a little bitter and smoky. Beautiful salivating acidity, which balances the astringency of tannins.
