Domaine Drouhin – Pinot Noir 2014 – Dundee hills – Oregon

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers a slight freshness as well as a slight concentration. It reveals notes of black cherry, cassis and slight touches of wild strawberry, wild fruits associated with hints of violet, a very discreet hint of cornflower as well as a subtle hint of zan and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight acid frame, a beautiful minerality, a beautiful definition, a beautiful freshness, gourmandize as well as a slight suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of black cherry, blackberry jam and juicy cassis associated with hints of wild strawberry, subtle hints of raspberry as well as hints of toasted oak, chocolate and vanilla. Tannins are well-built. Good length. There is a slight hint of chocolate on the persistence.
