Domaine des Sabines 2022 – Lalande de Pomerol

The nose offers finesse and a delicate floral side. It expresses notes of cherry blossom, violet and peony, combined with touches of ripe morello cherry, red cherry jam, wild strawberry, blackberry, juicy red plum and roasted red cherry. We also find spicy notes of licorice, white pepper, vanilla and torrefaction (mild coffee) in the background. On the palate, the wine offers a very fruity attack, with slightly sweet notes of blackberry jam and crushed strawberries. It then expresses notes of wild blackberry, morello cherry and red plum, cut mint, vanilla and a delicate touch of dark chocolate. The tannins are firm, but fine and not drying. The finish is juicy, chiselled and structured, with powdery notes of cocoa, dried mint and licorice, combined with lively acidity and a pleasant bitterness.
