The nose is fruity, fresh and reveals concentration and power. There are notes of pulpy blackcurrant/blackberry, raspberry and more slightly fleshy strawberry combined with a fine touch of roasted cherry (in the background), zan and a very discreet hint of pepper, violet and a very discreet hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, minerality, a nice acidic backbone, tension, salinity and a fine crunch. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, blackcurrant and slightly pulpy raspberry notes combined with hints of iris, fresh lily as well as fine hints of roasted cherry, liquorice, a discreet almost varietal quality and a subtle hint of salinity. A certain fullness in the mouth. The tannins are sapid.
