The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity with slight purplish reflections. It is discreet on the nose and requires aeration. The nose then expresses notes of crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, tart red cherry, associated with notes of wild mint, a smoky touch of oregano, violet, peony and rose petals. We also find a fine spiciness (licorice, cumin, cloves) and roasting (a hint of toasted hazelnut). The mouth is silky and concentrated. It expresses notes of ripe blackcurrant (even crème de cassis), fresh morello cherry, red cherry jam, crushed raspberry, redcurrant jelly and fresh redcurrants, associated with notes of dried wild mint, licorice, cumin, cloves, with a hint of fresh tobacco, cocoa and toasted hazelnut. There are also touches of violet and dried rose. The tannins are structured and firm, dry on the attack and mid-palate, but fine. The finish offers notes of sweet spices, a sweet hint of cocoa and kirsch cherry, refreshed by a lively acidity. Beautiful, gourmand and fresh persistence.
