Vieille Syrah
The wine shows a medium ruby colour with a brightening rim. The nose is intensely savoury, revealing nuances of soya sauce, meat broth and a mix of spices like cardamon and cumin. The palate is juicy and relatively light with refreshing acidity, bold, chalky tannins and nice juiciness of red and black berries in the background. The wine opens up with notes of blackberries and blueberries, a touch of prunes and pomegranate, some spiciness of pink pepper on the finish. Slightly astringent finale.
