The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose offers limestone and saline mineral notes, combined with precise aromas of Mediterranean herbs – fresh bay leaf, rosemary, garrigue, thyme, a touch of sage in the background. After aeration, herbaceous notes become more pronounced (we also sense a hint of menthol and dill in the background) and combine with notes of black plum, morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, strawberry, red cherry, as well as violet, peony and a hint of toast, liquorice and nutmeg. The palate offers a chiseled attack, with notes of tangy fruits (morello cherry, red cherry, red currants, crushed blackcurrant), combined with gourmand flavors of blackberry and black plum. Then, we find herbaceous notes (bay leaf, rosemary, garrigue, thyme), a hint of violet and roasting (coffee, toast, a touch of chocolate) and sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, a hint of vanilla). The acidity is salivating and fresh, the tannins are structured, firm, but fine and not dry. The persistence in the mouth is average, fruity. A pleasant wine, with a certain power.
