Domaine des Brosses 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers a certain density in freshness, concentration and ripe fruity material. It expresses notes of wild blackberry, morello cherry, red cherry, dried blackcurrant, strawberry and raspberry, as well as iris, violet, roasted red cherry, raspberry jam, as well as dried mint, as well as a hint of tobacco and racy minerality (limestone, dry stone) and a touch of fresh black plum. The palate is tight, even closed. It expresses notes of tart red cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, cranberries and redcurrants, associated with notes of blackcurrant leaf, bird cherry, violet. The tannins are fine, slightly grippy. The finish is rather persistent, chiseled and lively, with a sharp acidity.
