The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is restrained and requires aeration. It then expresses concentrated aromas of black and red fruits (black plum, blackberry, morello cherry, wild strawberry), morello cherry jam, crème de cassis as well as notes of mint, liquorice and aromatic herbs (savory, rosemary). There is also a floral note of violet. On the palate, the wine is fleshy, with a nice concentration and the richness of very ripe fruit flavors, but not overripe (morello cherry, red cherry, red plum, black plum, blackcurrant, blueberry), which continue on the notes aromatic herbs, menthol and dried field flowers. The tannins are well-built: quite powerful, enveloping the mouth, but velvety. The finish is persistent, on fresh red fruits, with slight notes of peppermint, energy and a nice acidity. A pleasant and refined wine.
