The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity, with light garnet reflections. The nose first expresses notes of roasted fruit with a fine sweetness. We find the aromas of crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, ripe morello cherry, red cherry jam, roasted red cherry and blackberry, combined with notes of licorice, clove, cinnamon and vanilla in the background, as well as floral notes of peony and violet and a touch of chocolate (cocoa, mint chocolate). The palate is juicy, silky and fresh. It expresses more notes of fresh fruit (wild strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry, blackberry), associated with a touch of roasted red cherry, some spiciness (licorice, clove, nutmeg and a hint of vanilla) and floral notes (violet, fresh rose, iris). The tannins are firm, a little dry in the mid-palate, but fine. The finish expresses a lively, refreshing acidity and a touch of bitter cocoa, chocolate cherry and dried mint in the background. Beautiful persistence and fruitiness, freshness and gourmandise.
