Domaine de Saint Amand 2018 – Côte de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers juiciness, a pulpy/juicy fruit, a small intensity as well as minerality. It reveals notes of juicy/pulpy cassis and juicy/pulpy raspberry associated with small touches of juicy/pulpy red berries, hints of violet, nutmeg as well as a very discreet hint of Cuben pepper/spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a racy minerality, tension, energy, finesse as well as a beautiful fine and silky material. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, juicy/ripe blackberry and small notes of red berries/red fruits associated with a touch of cornflower, black cherry, liquorice as well as hints of racy minerality and a discreet hint of cardamom/spices. Tannins are well-built and very finely firm. Sapidity/suavity on the finish.
