The nose is frank and offers a certain power as well as a fresh pepper side. There are notes of green apple, fresh quince and small notes of honeysuckle/pine needles associated with touches of quite ripe small fruits/citrus fruits as well as discreet hints of fresh spices. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity and offers minerality, a slight freshness, a good definition, tension, a an acidulous frame as well as a certain energy/electric side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, tangy/ripe kumquat and small notes of apricot associated with touches of quite ripe small citrus fruits as well as toasted hints, butter, a fine hint of racy minerality and a subtle hint of fresh oak in the background. Good length. A subtle, almost “riesling” and buttery hint in the background. Beautifully gourmand and mellow.
