The nose is fruity, racy and offers a certain concentration. It reveals notes of small red berries, sweet pepper and small notes of sweet spices associated with fine hints of star anise, flower pistil, saffron and tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, concentration, a tangy frame as well as a small pulpiness and fleshiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright/shiny red berries and small notes of violet associated with touches of bright violet plum, crushed/concentrated small fruits as well as toasted hints, tonka bean, toasted hazelnut, liquorice stick and a hint of black olive. Good length. Beautiful expression of Petit Verdot.
