The nose is exuberant, open and gourmand demonstrating very dark fruits, blackberries, blackcurrant, black plums, black cherries, some prunes and spices. The palate is round, smooth and opulent with bold but well-managed, chewy tannins, refreshing acidity, a lot of concentration but still fresh and vivid. The wine is revealing crunchy but ripe black fruits, blueberry pie notes, sweet spices, mellow prunes and figs. The finish is slightly bitter with a pleasant sweetness at the end.
