Domaine de Nerleux, Cuvée des Nerleux 2022 – Saumur – Champigny

The wine has a bright ruby color with purple reflections. The nose is fragrant and fruity: it expresses notes of red cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, blueberry, a touch of blackcurrant, associated with notes of mint, blackcurrant bud, violet, peony, iris and rose, as well as a subtle touch of white pepper in the background. The palate is savoury, fruity, with a tannic structure, slightly grippy, but refined. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, red cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, crushed raspberry, combined with notes of blackcurrant bud, dried mint, violet, rose and iris. The finish expresses as a livating acidity, as well as the roundness and juiciness of ripe fruit. Good persistence on the palate with a hint of menthol and cherry in chocolate on the finish.
