The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is fragrant, delicately woody and spicy. It expresses the aromas of vanilla, ground clove, cumin and cardamom, as well as toasted hazelnut, toasted wood and praline (in the background). The fruits on the nose are juicy and ripe: we find the aromas of yellow peach, juicy apricot, yellow plum, tangy pineapple, golden apple, as well as candied lemon and lemon zest, associated with floral touches of iris, apple blossom and acacia. The palate offers precision, a chiselled citrus hint on the attack (in the flavors of lemon zest, grapefruit, fresh and candied lemon) and a juicy and delicious mid-palate with flavors of yellow peach, apricot, mirabelle plum and pineapple. We also find a fine toasted hint (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood), a hint of honey, vanilla, cloves, nutmeg and white flowers (iris, apple blossom). The finish is persistent, gourmand and fresh, subtly woody and spicy. Nice salivating acidity and a touch of delicious caramelized hazelnut, which persists on the finish.
