Ruby colour with a hint of garnet and a shiny disc. The nose is complex and deep, with hints of leather, hazelnut, pepper, blood orange and red fruit. Lively on the palate. Despite the high density of the fruit, the first impression is one of freshness that instantly balances the massive fruity attack. The tannins are delicately blended. The finish is fine, with plenty of intensity and tension on the finish. It suggests good ageing potential. There’s even a hint of garrigue and liquorice. This is a wine with a seductive attack and a complex, powerful finish that deserves to be laid down for a few more years, ideally two.
