Domaine de l’Odylée, S comme Soyeuse – Côtes du Rhône – 2021

(Grenache Blanc, Viogner, Roussanne, Clairette) The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color. The nose is refined, floral and offers a lot of freshness and delicacy. It expresses fragrant notes of acacia, apple blossom, fresh wildflowers, orange blossom, a subtle buttery and toasted touch (toasted hazelnut), fresh almond, as well as juicy fruity notes (orange, ripe lemon, white peach, ripe apricot, passion fruit). On the palate, the wine expresses more oaky notes, which remain delicate. We find the notes of fresh wood, lightly toasted hazelnut, fresh almond, as well as a touch of clarified butter and a fragrant floral bouquet (acacia, wildflowers, apple blossoms), associated with ripe but fresh fruit (lemon, crunchy pineapple, white peach, tangy apricot, passion fruit). The finish is lingering, fresh, with salivating acidity and hints of juicy stone fruit. A subtle and airy wine.
