The wine has a medium intensity ruby color. The nose offers brightness and juicy fruit. It expresses the aromas of tart raspberry, red currant, blueberry, red cherry, strawberry and crushed blackcurrant. After aeration, we feel an aromatic floral bouquet – notes of violet, fresh peony and lily, as well as touchesof mint, pine needles (even a hint of sap in the background) and roasted bouquet garni. The palate offers chewiness, a silky texture and juiciness. It expresses the fruity flavors, a little sweeter, than on the nose – of crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, roasted red plum, morello cherry, red cherry and blackcurrant. On the mid-palate, we find notes of mint, Mediterranean herbs, flowers (violet, lily) and a slight touch of sap on the finish. The tannins are structured and finely tight. The wine is moderately persistent, with a touch of good bitterness and a nice acidity.
