The nose is fruity / aromatic, elegant, racy and offers a very fine richness. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of ripe red fruits and ripe wild red berries associated with small touches of blackberry, blueberry as well as subtle hints of dried flowers, crushed wild strawberry, licorice and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well- balanced, gourmand, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful suavity, a small fat, a fine tension / straightness, a fine acid frame as well as a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cherry, crushed redcurrant and small notes of blackberry associated with fine touches of cassis, subtle hints of plum, liquorice as well as discreet touches of spices and a very discreet hint of gray pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine, elegant and supple. The finish is slightly firm. There is a very discreet hint of dried almond on the finish.
