The nose shows fine concentration, good definition, fine grain and precision. There are notes of morello cherry, fairly ripe blackcurrant and more lightly of violet, nutmeg, star anise, with discreet hints of tonka bean and a subtle hint of vanilla bean. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, a certain brightness/pulpiness of fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, pulpy redcurrant and more lightly blueberry combined with hints of juicy/pulpy purple plum as well as hints of violet, vanilla, a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut, camphor and vanilla. The tannins are supple and give energy.
