Domaine de la Paleine 2019 – Saumur-Champigny

(Biodynamic) The wine shows a bright and vivid ruby purple colour. The nose is floral and fruity, offering notes of violets, nuances of black cherry compote, a touch of almond, a hint of black pepper in the background. The palate is vibrant, juicy and intense, revealing elevated acidity, crisp texture, chalky, slightly drying tannins and moderate weight. Notes of red and black cherries interlace with nuances of blackberries, a touch of cloves and green pepper, a hint of tobacco leaf, some dark minerality. Juicy and spicy finish with a delicate bitter note. Very elegant.
