The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand and fruity. It first expresses light notes of smoked meat, which then develop into fine touches of herbs and dried flowers (thyme, rosemary, wildflowers). There are also spices (cloves, black pepper, nutmeg, licorice), a hint of bitter cocoa and lots of fruit (wild strawberries, red cherries, morello cherries, red plums, dried cranberries, red currants, blueberries), as well as a fine touch of graphite. On the palate, the wine has tension and energy. The tannins have a lot of finesse: velvety, tense, enveloped in a ripe fruity, but fresh bouquet. It reveals flavors of red cherry, red plum, black plum, blueberry, wild strawberry and red currant, accompanied by notes of white pepper, basil, dried rosemary and thyme, liquorice and violet. The finish expresses juicy flavors of prunes and cherry jam, refreshed by a pleasant bitterness, peppery notes and a lively acidity. A well-structured and racy wine.
