The wine has a pale ruby color. The first nose offers smoky, slightly meaty notes, which disappear after aeration. We find the fruity side of wild strawberry, red cherry, red currant, elderberry, wild strawberry, as well as a touch of crushed blackcurrant. The nose also expresses herbaceous notes of dried mint, tomato leaf, and delicate floral (wildflowers, violet, a touch of peony) and spicy (licorice, nutmeg) notes. The palate is generous with fruit, but fresh and juicy. It expresses notes of fresh red cherry, crushed raspberry, crunchy strawberry, a touch of red plum and cranberries (with a slight bitterness), redcurrants, as well as aromatic herbs (crushed mint, a touch of oregano) and fresh flowers (rose petals, a hint of violet and dried wild flowers) and a fine spiciness (licorice stick, clove), as well as a fine touch of dried red fruits. The finish is enveloping and juicy, with fresh red fruits, notes of sweet spices and a fine touch of dried flowers, roasted meat and smoke in the background. The acidity is pleasant and fresh. The tannins are structured and integrated into a refined fruitiness of the wine. Expression, gourmandise and structure.
