Domaine de La Graveirette – Font de Crau 2021 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Domaine de La Graveirette – Font de Crau 2021 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The nose is fruity, fresh and offers a small work on the maceration (but all in control). It reveals notes of small yellow fruits, physalis and fresh mirabelle plum associated with touches of quince, verbena, zest, as well as a subtle hint of lime blossom and discreet touches of fresh garrigue. The palate is well-built, fresh, mineral and offers a fine hint of oxidation/maceration (controlled and certainly desired), a certain deepness and a nice work on the good bitterness, full of balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of quince, dried mandarin peel and small notes of yellow berries, combined with touches of hay, fresh tobacco, fine hints of ripe mirabelle plum, almond, local garrigue, an infusion side as well as a subtle hint of beeswax and nutmeg. Good length. A nicely made wine for food & wine pairing.
