Domaine de la Biscarelle 2022 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

A lovely nose blending flowers and fruit, it offers concentration with finesse, harmony and a lovely delicacy in its intensity. It reveals notes of concentrated wild cassis, violet and small notes of pulpy wild red berries, associated with floral touches, fresh local garrigue, arbutus, as well as a hint of Timut pepper, sage and an almost imperceptible hint of orange /mandarin zest. The palate is well-built, fruity, supple, floral and offers delicacy, a tangy frame, precision and a fine sappy/floral side in guideline. In mouth this wine expresses notes of wild/pulpy cassis, juicy/brilliant red cherry and small notes of flowers, combined with fine touches of thyme/lavender, small crushed fruits, as well as a hint of balsamic, a discreet hint of mandarin zest and arbutus, toastiness and dried almond. Good length. Precise, finely mellow tannins. Discreet and good work on the good bitterness in the background.
