The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers precision, good concentration and verticality. It expresses notes of juicy red and black fruits (wild strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry coulis, crushed blackcurrant, wild blackberry), associated with touches of torrefaction (heated wood, toasted hazelnut), sweet spices (liquorice, even star anise, vanilla, ground cumin, nutmeg), fresh flowers (a touch of rose and iris), as well as a gourmet touch of chocolate with mint. The palate is gourmand, round and silky, less woody, with a good bitterness of cocoa and coffee on the finish. It expresses the juicy flavors of morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, black plum, strawberry, raspberry coulis and bigarreau cherry, combined with spicy notes of liquorice, vanilla and nutmeg, as well as a hint of peony and chocolate with mint. The finish is persistent, with expressive notes of morello cherry, dark chocolate and white pepper. The tannins are structured and fine. Beautiful freshness and acidity on the finish.
