The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. On the nose, it is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses discreet woody notes (toasted wood, toasted hazelnut), associated with touches of sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper), a fine minerality (graphite), a floral touch (wild rose, peony), herbaceous hint(blackcurrant leaf) and a refined fruitiness (raspberry, fresh strawberry, blueberry, morello cherry, bigarreau cherry). The palate is juicy and textured, and offers precision and tension. It expresses notes of black plum, morello cherry, fresh strawberry, crushed blueberry, bigarreau cherry and cranberries with a slight bitterness, associated with a fine spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper), a touch of blackcurrant leaf, wild rose, torrefaction (coffee) and graphite. The finish is chiselled and fresh, quite persistent and tangy, with pronounced spicy notes. The tannins are a bit grippy, but quite fine. A lively and straight wine, well structured.
