Domaine de Gensac – Terre-à-Terre 2010 – IGP Côtes de Gascogne

The nose is racy and offers power, a fine concentration/intensity, a fine lineal side and elegance. It reveals notes of ripe blackcurrant, ripe wild blueberry and small notes of ripe wild raspberry and redcurrant associated with a fine touch of violet, plum, clayey minerality as well as fine hints of cardamom, camphor and toasted. The palate is fruity, precise and offers gourmandize, straightness, a small acidulous frame and a good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of very ripe/juicy blackcurrant, cooked blueberry and small notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with a fine touch of small red berries, juicy violet plum, violet as well as a subtle hint of camphor, cocoa, grey pepper, underwood and very discreet hints of caramelization/toasted. Tannins are elegant.
