Domaine de Gachet 2018 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is fruity and offers freshness as well as a small intensity. It reveals notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy blackberry and small notes of fleshy raspberry associated with small touches of violet, blueberry, liquorice as well as very fine hints of Cuben pepper, chocolate and toasted/cardamom. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, a small gourmandize, a fine tension, silkiness as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy cassis, juicy/fleshy blueberry and small notes of wild small berries associated with small touches of flowers (conrflower…), fine hints of liquorice as well as very discreet hints of sweet spices. Tannins are precise and structuring. Gourmandize on the finish. There is an imperceptible hint of toasted bread on the persistence.
