Domaine de Dionysos – La Cigalette 2015 – Cairanne

The nose is fruity, racy and offers a fine concentration and a fine power. It reveals notes of ripe red berries and blueberry associated with small notes of blackberry, thyme as well as small hints of black cherry, spices and black olive. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, tight, well-built, slightly gourmande and offers a good definition, a small acid frame, fat, a fine suavity as well as a (very) slightly unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy wild red berries, blackberry and small notes of raspberry, cherry Bigarreau associated with small touches of thyme / rosemary, sweet spices, racy minerality, camphor as well as a discreet hint of fleshy strawberry (in the background) and a very discreet hint of olive. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length. There is a hint of chocolate and toasted oak / toasted almond on the finish.
